Several bands that are around for quite some time have released new albums recently that are return to form after a few poor years, amongst others Interpol, Gorillaz and Dinosaur Jr. with There Near, and why not, The Rolling Stones. And we can add the latest album of Death Cab For Cutie to that list as well.
While their last few albums were all quite mediocre and forgettable, this latest album released a few months ago has many great tracks. And it was followed with a great performance last week in Utrecht. For a sold out venue they played many tracks of that new album that went down very well, mixed with classics from their earlier work. A highlight was the solo acoustic performance of I Will Follow You Into the Dark including crowd sing along.
