The Tubs feel like our own discovery: three years ago at the Left of the Dial festival in Rotterdam we were walking by one of the venues, and what heard coming out pulled us in. It was 3 rowdy dudes that played very catchy tunes, and we were immediately sold. The next day we went to their 2nd show, and 3 months later again in Utrecht.
Last week their 3rd album Hard Life was released, with 12 new tunes, as catchy as always. In contrast to the lyrics, which are all about lost love, being a loser, or being surrounded by losers. And they seem to be getting traction, as this album is met with positive reviews all around. So it’s nice to be able to say “I was a fan from the beginning”.
