This weeks tip is another Dutch one: Hiqpy has build a reputation over the last 2 years by playing plenty of live gigs, without any songs of them available on streaming services. This month finally saw the release of their debut album.
Allthough I cringe at the tagline on their website What if Kurt Cobain and Ariana Grande had a Pokémon together? Well, you’d get something like a Hiqpy. their music I appreciate a lot more. Perhaps not the most original, it makes me think of The Sundays, while my wife hears Katy J. Pearson in it, but very enjoyable. Looking forward to catch them live later this year at the Best Kept Secret festival.
