Cameron Winter - Live at Carnegie Hall

Indie's wonder boy strikes again

Album cover

Cameron Winter has to be the most intriguing artist of the last few years. Both in the band Geese and as solo artist he has delivered unconventional albums that after repeated listening reveal a deep sense of beauty. With flowing yet totally cryptic lyrics that make no sense at all to me. This album is a registration of the show he did in New York’s Carnegie Hall, as one of the youngest solo artists in history. It features just a grand piano and his voice. That piano I somehow connect to the 50 year old Köln Concert from Keith Jarrett. Intense and moving.
